Eugen Matei is Program Director for the Center for Advanced Theological Studies of Fuller Theological Seminary.

A native or in Romania, Eugen moved with his family to the Unites States after graduating from the Baptist Theological Institute in Bucharest (then Baptist Theological Seminary) in 1990.  Eugen earned his MDiv in 1993 and PhD in 2004, both from Fuller.  The PhD studies were conducted under the mentorship of Dr. Colin Brown, with the dissertation "The Practice of Community in Social Trinitarianism: A Theological Evaluation with Reference to Dumitru Stăniloae and Jürgen Moltmann."

Areas of interest: The Christian concept of God, theological method, Orthodox theology, theological education.
